About the counters

This site is the home of walk-in repair counters that fix phones, tablets, laptops and game consoles on their own benches, plus a finder that points you at the nearest one. Here is how it works and who is behind it.

What this site is

iFix Phones & Consoles is a network of walk-in repair counters. Each counter has its own page on this site with its address, its hours, its phone number, directions to the door and the towns it mostly serves. The service and device pages describe the repairs themselves, once, for the whole network, because a cracked screen is the same job in every town. When you are ready, the store page or the quote form on it sends your request to that store's own counter, not to a call centre.

The finder on the home page also lists independently owned shops that are not part of this network but that we know and trust, with their address, hours and directions. Those shops have their own websites, and we do not print their phone numbers here; the directions link takes you to their own listing where the number is theirs to keep current.

The franchise

Counters named iFixandRepair on this site are independently owned franchise stores of the iFixandRepair brand, most of them inside Walmart Supercenters. Each is run by its own owner, with its own bench and its own staff, under the franchise's standards. The store page for each counter names the owner where they have chosen to be named, and links to that store's Google Business Profile and social pages so you can see it is the same place.

How the bench works

Every counter works the same way, and it is worth spelling out because it is not how every repair shop works.

You get an exact price before anything is opened. That price is the price; if we find a second fault once the device is apart, we stop and call you rather than adding it to the bill. Diagnosis is free, and if we cannot fix the device there is no repair charge for the attempt. Every repair is done on the counter's own bench, by the people you hand the device to. Nothing is posted away and nothing is subcontracted. The part and the labour on every repair are both covered; keep your receipt and bring the device back to the counter that did the work if anything is not right.

We do not invent things on this site. If a store has no rating shown, it is because we do not have a verified one yet, not because we forgot. Prices are not listed on the service pages because they depend on the exact model and what is actually wrong, and a number that is right for one phone is wrong for the next. When a store lists prices, they are that store's real prices.

What we fix

Phones, tablets, laptops and game consoles, at every counter, with the honest limits stated on each service page: not every counter takes laptops, some repairs are a leave-it-with-us job, and on some devices the right advice is a replacement. The service pages describe each repair in detail, and the device pages cover what is specific to iPhone, Galaxy, Pixel, iPad, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.

Getting in touch

Each store page has that store's phone number and a quote form that goes to that store. There is no central number, because a single number would send everyone to one counter no matter where they were standing. If something on this site is wrong, the store page's email reaches the counter, and the site is corrected from there.

Questions people ask

Are all the shops on this site the same company?

No. The counters with pages here are independently owned iFixandRepair franchise stores. The other shops in the finder are independent businesses we list because we know them; they have their own sites.

Why are there no prices on the service pages?

Because a price depends on the exact model and the actual fault, and a number that is right for one phone is wrong for the next. Every counter quotes exactly before opening anything, and where a store lists prices they are real.

Why does a store have no star rating?

Because we do not have a verified one yet. We do not invent ratings or reviews. When a store's reviews are verified, they appear on its page.

Is the work done in the store?

Yes, always, on the counter's own bench. Nothing is mailed away or subcontracted.

Every counter quotes the exact price before anything is opened. Walk in during opening hours, or call ahead with the model so the part is on the bench.
